1) Volunteer Osteopath 

Are you passionate about Paediatric Osteopathy? Are you looking for a way to help others whilst developing new osteopathic skills? Why not become a Volunteer Osteopath at the OCC?

Come and join us to help make a positive difference to the lives of families who could not otherwise afford osteopathic treatment for their children.

What will you be doing?

  • Working at the Osteopathic Centre for Children on Tuesdays or Thursdays. 
  • Taking responsibility for a list of patients.
  • Supporting Senior Osteopaths and the Consultant-in-Charge with various tasks in the clinic.

Who can apply?

  • Past DPO and MSC Graduates of the OCC

2) Trustee

The Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy is a Company Limited by Guarantee and a Registered Charity. It is governed by a Board of Trustees operating in compliance with the Charity Commission guidance on good governance.

Remuneration

The role of Trustee is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although expenses for travel may be claimed.

Time commitment: 

  • The Board have four meetings per year. 
  • In addition to Board Meetings, other contact – usually electronic or by telephone – will be necessary

Location:

London

Skills and experience

The board of trustees collectively needs skills and experience in the following areas:

  • financial management and Charity SORP Reporting
  • knowledge of fundraising and income generation
  • public policy and public affairs
  • digital and marketing strategy
  • company secretary and legal adviser (corporate governance)
  • patient liaison officer
  • knowledge of Osteopathy and tertiary education

We are particularly interested to receive applications from candidates with experience in income generation, legal and marketing.
